Monica Edwards, the Pullein-Thompson sisters, and plenty more authors captivated me when I was 10 or 11. Victoria Wood fell in love with Pamela Brown’s The Swish of the Curtain – it was apparently what made her yearn to be on stage herself. Great blog post, Jude!
